of Donora, Pennsylvania and archival photos, in this discussion of some seminal
events in the development of environmental health history. She will profile
the pioneering work of Drs. Lester Breslow and John Goldsmith in creating
standards for air pollutants, the efforts of other unsung heroes of the field,
like Mary Amdur, and the critical role that Richard M. Nixon played in launching
